Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte will switch international allegiance from France to Spain ahead of Euro 2020, according to reports.
The 26-year-old has yet to earn a cap for the France national team despite playing for one of the best teams in the Premier League over the past few seasons.
Laporte has been called up by France boss Didier Deschamps before but he has never made it onto the pitch under the former Chelsea midfielder.

Speaking back in December 2018, Laporte insisted that he wouldn’t be swapping France for Spain any time soon despite claiming Deschamps wasn’t picking him for “personal reasons”.
