Flat racing on the turf begins to pick up this week and on Tuesday there are the opening cards for the new season at two of England’s much-loved flat tracks.
The stalls open at Pontefract (1.00-4.35pm) before Bath (2.10-5.45) also launches its new term. In between, there’s National Hunt racing from Exeter (1.45-4.50) and to conclude the day there’s all-weather fare from Chelmsford (5.00-8.30).
Tuesday’s nap has endured a couple of near-misses for trainer Evan Williams but should take some pegging back at Exeter in his bid to make it third time lucky this spring.
